He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, William Douglas Thorpe, Sr. and Anna Smith Thorpe; his wife Beth Ann Laurie Thorpe; his sisters, Sharon Kourtz and Nancy Kelley; his niece Connar Kelley; and his nephews, Tyler Kelley and Collin Kourtz.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the TBD Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223).
