He is survived by : his wife Ann Hansen of Clinton, IA; his son Jon Hansen of Clinton, IA; his stepdaughter Cheryl Szabo of Manlius, IL; his granddaughters, Aurelia of Davenport, IA and Ariaha of Davenport, IA; his stepgrandson Stephen Szabo of Marshalltown, IA; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Hailey Szabo of Manlius, IL..

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Pape Funeral Home (2308 Pershing Blvd, Clinton, IA 52732). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
