He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Schick and Christina Schick (Beck); his wife Barbara Jane Anderson of Norwegian; and his siblings, Ruben, Otto, Milbert, Alma Keszler, Martha Conlon and Elsie Heilman.

He is survived by: his children, Linda S. Liedtke (Dennis Thomann) of Coralville, IA, John A. Schick (Renee) of Dubuque and Robert Schick.
