He was predeceased by : his parents, Roger Cox and Margaret Cox (Shireman). He is survived by : his wife Brenda Cox (Reichenberg); his children, Jason Cox (Jennifer) of Dubuque, Brennen Cox of Des Moines and Brianna Cox of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Adelyn, Owen and Emarie Cox; his sisters, Judy Arlen (Jim) and Denise Baker; his in-law Kent Reichenberg (Cheryl); and his brother-in-law Shane Reichenberg (Lynn).

Memorials may be given to Dubuque Regional Humane Society.
