He is survived by : his wife Jan; his stepdaughter Sooner Sille of Van Meter; his grandchildren, Austin Murray of Des Moines, Cadin Chaplin of Van Meter and Courtlyn Chaplin of Des Moines; and his siblings, Mark Ehlert (Karen) of Columbia, MO., Wesley Ehlert of Carlisle, IA, Melissa Butterfield (Tim) of Des Moines, IA and Jennifer Ohnemus (Jerry) of Carlisle, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
