She was predeceased by : her parents, Anton Kiefer and Irene Kiefer (Muller); her husband Paul Frank; her great grandchild Kiefer Grout; her grandson John Thomae; her grandson-in-law Jamie Jarrett; and her siblings, Anton "Ginger" Kiefer and Betty Soukup.

She is survived by : her children, Linda Shalla (Don) of Riverside, Thomas Frank (Christy) of McFarland, WI, Sally Frank of Iowa City and Deb Brandt (Bill) of Iowa City; and her sister Nita Latta of Riverside. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church (618 E Davenport St, Iowa City, IA 52245). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the St. Wenceslaus Church and Iowa City Hospice.
