It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yvonne A. Cole of Marion, Iowa, who passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, J. Eugene Brown and Neva Brown (Trump); her children-in-law, Clarence White and Thea Swartz; her granddaughter Becky White Sheppard; her stepgrandson Matthew Bembenek; and her siblings, Gary, Larry, Kenneth Brown, Darlene Mattingly, Olive Sowell Gaylor, Connie Winter and Beverly Taylor.

She is survived by : her husband James Cole of Marion; her children, Richard L. Swartz (Teresa), Randall Swartz, Mary White (Jerry Gregory) and Ronald Swartz (Penny); her stepchildren, Steven Cole (Kelly), Robin Belbot (Wendell), Vicki Melchert Lint and Brenda Melchert Lodge (David); and her siblings-in-law, Kathy Brown, Aloha Brown Pink (Jim) and Robert Taylor. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (201 W Madison St, Edgewood, IA 52042).
