She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Nelson and Mary Nelson (Gardner); her sister Marla Dinnebier; her brothers-in-law, Bill Dinnebier and Steve Stanford; and her close friend Phyz May.

She is survived by : her daughter Jessica Nelson of Waterloo; her grandson Hunter; and her siblings, Robert Nelson, Jr. of Washington State and Dana Stanford of Cedar Rapids.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories (965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, IA 50701).
