He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Sokoloski and Verna Sokoloski (Peplinski); and his siblings, Floyd, James, JoAnn (Smith) and Veronica.

He is survived by : his aunt Helen Tocher (Sokoloski); his wife Muriel Gasho of Trotters, ND.; his sons, Mark (Lana) of Billings, MT and Mathew (Kim) of Glendive; and his grandchildren, Kayleigh Straub (Lane), Jaylen (Megan), Marisa, Bryn, Tai, Trey, Anney, Taden and Ashlyn. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.

A vigil service was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (313 1st Ave SW, Wibaux, MT 59353). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
