With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benjamin Rusate of Hamden, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on June 23, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Carmella V. Rusate; his parents, Alfonso Rusate and Maria DiCerbo Rusate; and his siblings, Raffaela "Dolly" Rusate and Bernardo "Buddy" Rusate.

He is survived by : his children, David B. Rusate (Christy) of Naples, FL, Denise Reynolds (Kevin J.) of North Haven and Donna Romano of Cheshire; his great grandchildren, Vincent Perry, Leila Perry, Carl Perry, Jr. of Northford, Artie Rusate and James Lewin; and his sisters, Phyllis Merola of Shelton, Rosemarie Viscio (Richard) of Cheshire and Virginia Maiorino of Guilford. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome in honor of Benjamin to the Smilow Cancer Hospital, 35 Park Street, New Haven, Ct. 06511.
