It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Evelyn Burk of Acme, Alberta, born in Trochu, Alberta, who passed away on September 11, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carpenter and Sophie Carpenter; her husband Harold Burk; her son Donald Burk; and her siblings, Joyce, Raymond, Frank, Bud, Ramona, Shirley, Vivian and Robert.
She is survived by: her children, David Burk (Carrol), Larry Burk (Carol) and Linda Mahoney (Ken); and her grandchildren, Angie Dube (Ron), Shelly Burk, Debra Burk (Mike), Darcy Burk (Tina), Kim Burk (Kindra) and Carrie Notely (Brent). She is also survived by her twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and in-laws.
