He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ellen Spears and Ronald Spears; his significant other Sharron Nixon; his children, John "Jack" and Leah; his grandchildren, Jessica Koehli (Matthew) and Jamie Hayes (Megan); his great grandchildren, Payton, Nate and Riley; and his siblings, Charlotte Anderson, Jim Spears (Kay), Laurel Vig, Lois Spears and Dan Spears (Joyce).
