She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Zaitsoff and Molly Zaitsoff of Kamsack, SK.. She is survived by: her children, Terrance Callaghan (Kristen) and Wanita Nixon (Lorne); her granddaughters, Sidney, Ronna Callaghan and Bailey Nixon; her friend Gabriel; and her sisters, Ellen (Dave), Leona (Jeff) and Luba Hoeft. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Margaret wanted to help others after she was gone and decided to donate her body to science at the University of Calgary (Cumming School of Medicine).
