She was predeceased by: her husband Roger Achen; her parents, Russ Garland and Lillian Garland; and her sisters, Laura Garland and Connie Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Vermeulen (Grant), Sheila Achen (Jayson Gorda), Graham Achen (Caroline) and Tina Jackson (Geoff); her grandchildren, Paige Bergshoeff (Brandon), Caleb Jackson, Jill Foley (Brett), Cohen Achen (Dana), Anastasia and Mattius Gorda; her great grandchildren, Claire Bergshoeff, Charlie Foley and Scarlett Bergshoeff; her siblings, Judy Holmes, Penny Roberts (Lynn), John Garland and Dennis Sorenson (Cathy); and her sisters-in-law, Audrey Wercholuk, Ruby James, Louise Schill (Mel) and Karen Kuhn. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
