He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Knittle and Anna Knittle; and his wife Cecile Knittle. He is survived by: his daughter Roxanne Smith (Earl); his grandchildren, Lee Smith (Sara), Dallas Smith (Jaime), Cody Smith (Teresa), Zach Smith (Alex), Lacey Kreuger (Chris) and Cassidy Fortman (Nic); his son Don Knittle (Lee); his grandchildren, Kendall Bampton (Derek) and Shea Knittle; his son Duane Knittle (Corinne); his grandchildren, Devan Knittle (Carley), Emilia, Trinity and Danika; his son Darryl (Rachelle); his grandchildren, Natasha, Mikayla and Ty; his son Dean (Krimsen); his grandchildren, Callie, Aviah, Isaac and Brianna; and his siblings, Tony, Pete, Kathy, Sharon and Gloria. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Catholic Church (1305 Main St S, Airdrie, AB T4B3L8).
