He was predeceased by: his parents, Zdzislaw Turek and Euphemia Turek; his in-laws, Raymond and Betty Olsen; and his nephew Travis.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Jason (Nicole), Colleen, Catriona (Travis) and Megan (Andrew); his grandchildren, Sophia, Aria, Ozzy, Bodin, Xavier and Sister Jackie; and his siblings-in-law, Stuart, Isobel and Kathleen (Ian). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
