It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Agnes Kaufman (Athabasca, Alberta), who passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Agnes Kaufman to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Elmer Kaufman; her daughter Anita Smith; her parents, Georgina Duperron and Alfred Duperron; the father of her children Nicholas Torresan; her parents-in-law, Mary Torresan and Anthony Torresan; her brothers, Romeo Duperron, Eugene Duperron and Gerald Duperron; her siblings-in-law, Alcide St. Jean, Mike Torresan, Paul Torresan, Stan Krewski, Ken Bristow, Henry Rosenkranz, Hilda Rozenkranz, Mary Krewski and Valley Bristow; and her nephews, Ralph Duperron and Leroy Rosenkranz.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Torresan (Nancy), Gilbert Torresan (Ingrid), Harvey Torresan (Cathy), Robert Torresan and Nicole Peterson (Keith); her son-in-law Laio Smith; her grandchildren, Tony Smith (Kendra), Degna Barry (Ryan), Mikala Smith of Megan Smith, T. J, Kyle Torresan (Brianne), Derek Torresan (Diana), Lynnita Adams (Cameron), Mallory Peterson, Moraine Peterson (Jaden), Dallas Torresan and Jordan Torresan; her great grandchildren, Elijah Smith, Ezekiel Smith, Isla Barry, Farrah Barry, Mira Barry, Priya Barry, Liam Torresan, Ember Torresan, Isaac Adams-Larivière and Maren Cruickshank; her siblings, Rena St. Jean and Ronnie Duperron; her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Duperron, Helen Bigelow, Carole Germain, Delores Torresan, Vicky Jacobson and Gloria Anderson; and her children-in-law, Lionel Peterson and Josee Johnsen.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Athabasca Community Chapel (3403 48 Ave, Athabasca, AB T9S1M7). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine's Catholic Church (10303 Churchill Dr, Lac la Biche, AB T0A2C0).
