It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex Krawec of Athabasca, Alberta, who passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul and Eva; his wives, Millie and Helen; his son Adrian; his nephew Ron; and his siblings, Steve, John, Lidia and Annie.

He is survived by : his children, Terrance, Christine (Gerry), Harold (Brenda) and Maria (Nick); his grandchildren, Michael, David (April), Justin (Jessica), Nick (Janice), Camille, Carrie (Tim) and Sasha; his siblings, Peter (Mildred) and Mary Schwaga; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy, Sandy, Mary Diane and Jenny. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 5th 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Athabasca Community Chapel (3403 48 Ave, Athabasca, AB T9S 1M7). A private funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 6th 2021 at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Athabasca.
