Betty Kanuga Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on November 9, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Betty Kanuga of Athabasca, Alberta, born in Smoky Lake, Alberta. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Betty shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Betty farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ernie; her parents, Bill Werenka and Olive Werenka; and her brother Tom. She is survived by: her children, Kyle (Emily) of California and Kerri of Cayman Islands; her grandchildren, Brittney Kanuga of Switzerland and Cole Kanuga of Alberta; and her brothers, Ken (Lil) and David (Barb). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
