Karen Petryshen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Petryshen in Athabasca, Alberta, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2026 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah Lennie and Paul Petryshen; her husband Leo Risby; and her brothers, Vincent and Rod.
She is survived by: her sister Marsha; her son Shawn; her grandchild Christy; her children, Christy, Mandy and Ashley; her grandchildren, Shay-ann, Jaidy-Joan, Haley, Johnny, Dale, Jackson, Kayden, Kara-Jane, Abigail, Zander and Vincent; and her great grandchild Zelda.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Athabasca Senior Centre (4810 48 St, Athabasca, AB T9S1V8).
