Margaret Shwaga Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2021, at the age of 101, Margaret Shwaga of Athabasca, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wasyl Kowalchuk and Magdalene Kowalchuk; her husband Bill Shwaga; her children, Gene Shwaga (Mabel), Ken Shwaga and Louise Jewell (Daniel); her grandchildren, Lisa Jewell (Aaron), Bryan Jewell (Teresa) and Nichole Kuffa (Craig); her great grandchildren, Lydia, Meredith, Natalie and Ellie; her sister Mary Gislason; and her sisters-in-law, Annie Kowalchuk, Violet Kowalchuk and Mary Schwaga. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Athabasca Community Chapel on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, between 5:00 P. M. - 7:00 P. M. A small family funeral will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 (COVID Restrictions).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Athabasca Extendicare Residential Fund.
