She was predeceased by: her husband James Koons; her son Robert Koons; her parents, Julius Katona Sr. and Elizabeth Katona (Torok); and her brothers, Joe Katona and William Katona.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Greenwood (Rodney) and Donna Parr (Donald Bryan); her daughter-in-law Serena Elliot (Chris); her grandchildren, CJ Parr, Joel Parr (Arja Sormo), Zachary Greenwood (Hermin Lee), Michael Ursuliak, Adam Koons (Jessie Speakman) and Mikayla Koons (James Jobin); her great grandchildren, Ailo, Emmett, Mai, Waylon and Sierra; her siblings, Julius Katona Jr. (Edith), Margaret Osinchuck (Clarence), Elise Martin and Albert Katona; and her sister-in-law Deanna Katona. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grosmont Community Club, an organization dear to Mary's heart.
