She was predeceased by : her husband Arsen; her daughter Maria Rys; and her siblings, Bill Kapitaniuk and Vasylyna Kapitaniuk. She is survived by : her daughters, Helene Rys (Gil LaRose) of Edmonton, AB and Lesia Rys (Dennis Popwich) of Athabasca, AB; her grandchildren, Sydney, Jocelyn and Justin; and her sister Motria Mah of Edmonton, AB..
