He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Lara Maheden (Kevin) and Roland Turkawski (Cathy); his grandchildren, Jazmyn Maheden, Nick Maheden, Chantalle Gonzalez, Christian Gonzalez (Rose) and Oliver Turkawski; his great grandchild River Rigney; and his siblings, Vicky Bandurk (Ross), Lynne Kuss, Irene Della Porta, Nell Haygarth, Carol Morris, Steve Turkawski (Lynne), Joyce Dufresne (Daryl) and Kathy Turkawski (Brian).
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Athabasca Seniors Centre. A burial was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at the TBD New Pine Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pleasant Valley Lodge in Athabasca.
