Violet Kowalchuk Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Kowalchuk of Athabasca, Alberta, who passed away on May 11, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Violet Kowalchuk to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Kowalchuk; her parents, Andrew Kawulok and Annie Kawulok; and her sister Essie McConnell. She is survived by: her children, Barry (Sue), Cheryl Balay (Rob), Darlene Day (Ken) and Marjorie Peterson (Garry); her grandchildren, Marcie Whalen (Dean), Greg Balay (Danielle), Jeff Day (Courtney), Cara Day, Brandon Peterson (Kristy) and Leah Peterson; her great grandchildren, Isabelle Violet, Adalee, Charlotte Daisy Jean, Jaclynn and Mackenzie Whalen; her grandchildren, Atlas, Iliya Balay, Harvey and Hayes Peterson; and her siblings, Esther Sawchuk and Andy Kawulok (Claire). She is also survived by numerous other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Athabasca Healthcare Centre Auxiliary Association. Memorial Donation envelopes will be available at the service or at the Athabasca Healthcare Centre Gift Shop.
