He was predeceased by : his parents, Emma-Marie Wallace and Hugh Wallace; his stepmother Dorothy Wallace; his brother William Wallace (Rod); and his son-in-law Rod Sturwold.

He is survived by : his wife Bertha; his children, Don Wallace (Maxine), Matt (Katie), John, Catherine Sturwold and Devin (Kim); his great grandchildren, Liam and Kinley; his son David Wallace (Diana); his sister Dorothy Wichert (Ed); his niece Elizabeth Wallace (Brent Latimer); and his nephews, Robert Wichert, Martin Wichert (Christy) and Gordon Wichert.
