He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Andrea; his brother Ted; and his sister-in-law Gail Schoff. He is survived by: his wife Jeannette; his son Darcy Schoff (Sara-Lynne Dewar); his grandchildren, Isabelle Schoff, Annalysa Dewar, Mayafaye Dewar and Adaline Dewar; his daughter Leanna Murphy (Darren); his granddaughter Janelle Murphy; his daughter Janine Schmidt (Ron); and his siblings, Dale Schoff (Velma), Marie Beebe and Carol Bonham (Frank).

A vigil service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (5020 50 Ave, Bashaw, AB T0B0H0). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
