It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gregory Douglas Onychuk of Bay Tree, Alberta, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Gregory Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gregory Douglas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Victor Onychuk and Elsie "Madeline" Alexander; his former wife Terry Kae Abel; and his siblings, Michael, Debbie and Kathy.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Blake (White). He is also survived by married on April 10, 2017; three daughters; two sons; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 4 stepchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; as well as many extended family.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (10901 13 St, Dawson Creek, BC V1G4E5).
