He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Katherine; his daughter Judy (Alan); and his wife Katherine Nyschuk. He is survived by: his brother Gus (Lina); his former wife Irmgard Calkins; his sons, Gordon (Belinda) and David; his grandchildren, Angela (Kilian), Jordan (Chantel), Ashley (Peter), Josh (Keri), Amanda (Travis) and Devin; his great grandchildren, Bailey, Jack, Sydney, Parker, Reid, Sophie and Clara; and his great great grandchild Oaklynn.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Park Memorial Chapel (9709 111 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5G0B2). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Park Memorial Funeral Home (9709 111 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5G0B2).
