We announce the death of Corrine Violet Schmidt (Beaverlodge, Alberta), who passed away on May 18, 2026, at the age of 63. Corrine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Ek and Aili Ek; her sisters, Darlene Newell and Ann Ek; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Newell and Gordy Martin.
She is survived by: her husband Dave; her children, Charity Rideout (Jeff), Sara Isaac (Darren), Wayne Schmidt (Robyn) and Byron Schmidt (Majesta); her grandchildren, Garrett, Emmett, Owen, Colton and Cleo; and her siblings, Ellen Fiddler (Art), Marilyn Martin, Cindy Kulyna (Barry), Pat Ek and Maxine Goddard (Les).
