He was predeceased by : his father Hubert Rieland Sr. of Gladstone, MB; his sons, Bradley, Randy and Brent of Blackfoot, AB; his mother Christine Rieland; and his siblings, Sylvia 'Cindy Mertz, Dennis, Alfred, Gerald and William Rieland.

He is survived by : his son Brad; his grandchildren, Aleshia, Leah, Caitlyn of Lloydminster, AB and Ethan of Red Deer, AB; his siblings, Joe, Ralph, Henry, Frank, Terry, Bernadette, Betty, Christine, Mary, Sheila and Sharon; and his siblings-in-law, Lorna, Verna, Doreen, Darlene, Roman, Emile, Greg and Les. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Hubert may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or Blackfoot Lions Club.
