The family announces the passing of Larry Read (Blairmore, Alberta) on July 15, 2026. Larry, born on March 18, 1944, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Larry will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honour Larry by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Larry is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Larry’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parent Verne Read; his wife Frances Read; and his mother Jane "Jean" Read. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Evans (Robert), Jonathan Read (Gidget), Stephen Read (Shirley Smith) and Elizabeth Klassen (Bernie); his brother Keith Read; and his friend Mark Pitcher.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Peaks To Pines Residents' Association (PO Box 580 Coleman, AB T0K 0M0).
