He is survived by: his wife Teresa Pakla; his children, Daniel McLain of Blairmore, Amanda McLain of Pincher Creek, AB, Vicki Byrne (Davin) of Lethbridge, AB, Hanna Traversano (Dominic) of Brooks, AB and Selena McLain of Blairmore, AB; his grandchildren, Brittney, Savanah, Noah, Myiah, Adessa, Bentley, Caileigh, Brennan, Dawson, Alexxa, Jaxxson and Dakotah; his great grandchildren, Tahlia, Kase and Charli; and his siblings, Edward McLain (Paulette) of Alberta, Sharon Woolley of Ontario and Irene Ashford of Ontario. He is also survived by his extended family and many friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (13126 21 Ave, Blairmore, AB T0K0E0).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be gratefully accepted by the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Parish Building Fund (PO Box 1410 Blairmore, AB T0K 0E0).
