As Larry departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Larry. Though Larry may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Byford and Kay Byford; his sister Norma Gelety (Alex); his brother-in-law Rudolph Balla; his niece Maxine Balla-French; and his great-niece Amber Gelety.
He is survived by: his siblings, Gloria Balla, Betty Davediuk (Paul), Lonny Byford (Shirley) and Wauneata Yakoweshen (Winston). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and special friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bonnyville Fellowship Alliance Church (3801 50 Ave, Bonnyville, AB T9N2G8).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that tributes in his memory be sent to the Iron River United Church Cemetery, c/o Lenore Picray, PO Box 78, Iron River, AB T0A 2A0 or brought to Larry's Celebration of Life.
