We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2024, Gerald Schellenberg (Bow Island, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his daughter Tanya Schellenberg; his parents, John Schellenberg and Helen Schellenberg; and his in-laws, Helmut and Nettie Schroeder.

He is survived by : his wife Janet; his children, Jessica Poettcker (Jeremy, family: Madison, Hayden, Alistair) of Coaldale, Nikki Ohlmann (Randy, family: Karli, Audra, Nevan) of Coaldale and Shawn Schellenberg (Krystal, family: Braxton, Lincoln) of Red Deer; and his siblings, Lynn Schellenberg, Kathy Reimer (Gerald) and Rob Schellenberg (Rose). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Evangelical Free Church (214 4 Ave W, Bow Island, AB T0K0G0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM and at 1:00 PM. In fall of 2022, Gerald became quite ill with covid and was hospitalized for around seventy days.
