He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Koda Kristianson; his parents, Marinus and Jenny Van Staalduine; his siblings, Dick Van Staalduine, Neil Van Staalduine (late June), Jean Rasmussen (late Arne), Nellie Stovel (late Orvel), Evert Van Staalduine, Barney Van Staalduine (late Sue), Marie Minor (late George) and Jake Van Staalduine; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Lust, Jackie Wiebe and Shirley Buckler.

He is survived by: his wife Betty; his child Jerry Van Staalduine (Cathy) of Iowa; his grandchildren, Glenn, Blair and Morgan; his children, Lenora Van Staalduine of Calgary and Lyndon “Moose” Van Staalduine (Jackie) of Foremost; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brady and Kasi; his child Patti Faller (Darcy) of Lethbridge; his grandchild Amanda Kristianson (Kris); his great grandchild Kallum; his grandchild Kristle Baynham (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Bradly and Brody; his grandchild Vance Faller; his child Tim Van Staalduine (Debra) of Calgary; his sisters, Sylvia Robinson and Norma Graham (Harold); and his brother-in-law Chuck Buckler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
