He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Trinh (Fred), Carrie Boschman (Ryan), Erin Loewen (Chris) and Courtnay Duncan (Nairen); his siblings, John Schaufele (Rennie), Rachel Booker (Wayne) and Sue Smienk (Bill); his mother-in-law Ruth Jersak; Tim Jersak (Grace), Melodie Hunt (Ian), Dianne Brown (Dave) and Luella Krueger (Ron).

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Bow Island Evangelical Free Church (414 2 St W, Bow Island, AB T0K0G0).
