She was predeceased by: her parents, Nico Luiken and Rita Luiken. She is survived by: her husband Doug Schmidt; her children, Scott Schmidt Bart (Selena Delauw) and Mariah Corbel; her grandchildren, Baily Joshua (Darci), Tait, Lanaya, Colin, Levi and Aubree; her great grandchildren, Evie, Elijah and Jesse; and her siblings, Frances Karpiak (Ken Karpiak) and Rudy Luiken (Rena Luiken).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (5011 3 St, Boyle, AB T0A0M0).
