He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Sr. and Mary; his siblings, Billy, Michael and Francis; and his grandson Connor.

He is survived by : his wife Bonnie; his son Donnie (Christie) of Camrose; his grandchildren, Abbie, Sadie and Lacey; his sons, Jason (Stephanie) of Boyle, Scott (Emily) of Boyle and Justyn (Nakita) of Boyle; and his grandson Oliver. He is also survived by four brothers and sisters-in-law, three sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews; as well as numerous relatives.
