With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Diane Joan Nelson of Brooks, Alberta, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Diane left this world on September 25, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Art Burton and Edna Burton; and her in-laws, Art and Esther Nelson. She is survived by: her husband LeRoy Nelson; her sons, David (Deb Grosfield) and Todd (Julie); her grandchildren, Jarret, Greg, Andria, Zach Nelson, Jaydee and Lex Grosfield; her brother Donald Burton (Jeanette); her cousin Jim Burton (Doreen); and her sisters-in-law, Audrey Burwash (Les) and Carol Dyck (Henry). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Heritage INN and Convention Centre (1217 2 St W, Brooks, AB T1R1P7).
