It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixie Kay Alberts of Brooks, Alberta, who passed away on May 18, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Dixie leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Wright and Mable Wright. She is survived by: her husband Dick Alberts; and her children, Richard (Marlene) of Lethbridge, Rod (Carrie) of Brooks, Don (Maria) of Barrhead and Lynsey (Henry) of Brooks. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In memory of Dixie, if friends so desire, memorial tributes in Dixie's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
