She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Lee Trimmer (Bud); her parents, Daniel Vescarelli and Mary Vescarelli; her son Robert (Bob); her sisters, Gladys and Mildred; and her siblings-in-law, Calvin Christensen, Hal Nelson, Harold Scarrow, Lloyd Steinback, Ralph Trimmer, Lee and Ada Trimmer.

She is survived by : her children, Gladys (Calvin), Ellen (Hal), Mildred (Harold), Clara (Lloyd), Danny (Coralee) and Donna (John); her friend Florence Bartlett; her children, Brooks and Patti Rommens (Hubert); her daughter-in-law Myrna; her grandchildren, Derek (Leslie), Kristy (Mike), Kenton (Chelsea), Scott (Marina) and Ashley (DJ); and her great grandchildren, Paige, Charlie, Sadie, Ava, Bridgette, Bennie, Nora and Rhett.

In memory of Dorothy, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of their choice.

Heidi Meeke wrote a sympathy message

“My Mother and I (Heidi Meeke) are very sorry for your loss. Dorthy and my Mother (Lurlene Salser who now goes by Laurie Meeke) were best friends since grade school and remained friends throughout her life. Dorthy mentioned to my Mom awhile ago that someone in your family had Lyme Disease. I was hoping to speak to them if possible.
