She was predeceased by : her parents, George Hemsing and Viola Hemsing; her husband Marinus Smit; and her brother Kelvin Hemsing. She is survived by : her children, Leah (Guy Cyr), Shona (Brent Powell), Craig (Kari Smit) and Collin (Norma Smit); her grandchildren, Marina Powell, Emily, Chloe Cyr, Abby, Brady Cowan, Nathan, Janelle Smit, Chase and Georgia Smit; her great grandchildren, Ryland, Eastynn, Slade Pidborochynski, Olivia Cyr and Emma Cowan; and her siblings, Linda Adams, Pam Hemsing, Jerry, Russell and Brad Hemsing. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
