He was predeceased by: his father Julian Merrier. He is survived by: his mother Mary Agnes Merrier; his siblings, Raymond, Jack Merrier, Matilda and Brenda Merrier; his wife Margret Auger; his son Cornelius Merrier-Auger; his siblings, Lenard "Mouse" Merrier, Eddy Merrier, Henry Auger, George Merrier and Ruby Auger; and his grandchildren, Elijah Auger, Kailey Fraser, Aven Fraser, Shaun Auger and Quinn Auger.

A procession will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Memories Peace River. A wake will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at the Cadotte Lake School. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
