Adrian Daniel Redding Obituary
Adrian was born on February 1, 1977, in the Greater Toronto Area, ON. His family relocated to Calgary, AB in 1983. He attended both Van Horne and James Fowler High Schools. He enjoyed various sports—especially hockey. The Toronto Maple Leafs were always his favourite NHL team.
Adrian endured many hardships in life. It was during one of these trying times that he met the love of his life, Nicole Calfchild. They met on the streets of Calgary, and both were experiencing homelessness at that time. Despite the added stresses of life, they both endured, and their love was resilient through good and bad moments. They were finally successfully housed and left the streets to start their new life together.
Nicole loved Adrian for his humour and the kindness he showed everyone he met; he was a very caring, and patient man. His love and affection he had for Nicole was so very evident. He put others' needs before his own and will be fondly remembered for these attributes.
Adrian was interested in all kinds of bikes, whether it was fixing them or riding along one of the many bike paths around the city. His best friend, Darcy Simmons, was a very important influence in his life. He had many friends, and he loved listening to music. He loved animals and had a special fondness for the many cats that Nicole and he cared for over their many years together.
Adrian is survived by his only son, Thorne Thomas Redding Calfchild, his brother Erik Redding, numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins in Ontario, and his furbabies, Shadow, Big Herc, Bailey, Ginger, and Squeeks.
He was preceded in death by his father Gary Redding, his mother April Redding, and his paternal grandmother Marcelle.
The Creator's GardenThe Creator looked around his garden and found an empty place and he then looked down upon the Earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. HE knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on Earth again. You saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be thine.". It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day the Creator called you home.
