He was predeceased by: his parents, Johannes and Anna; his brother Theo (Riet); and his great grandchild Helena Zang. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, John, Sonya Boettcher (Andrew), Annette Klumpp (Doug) and Jeanette Franz (Herb); his grandchildren, Tiffany Klumpp, Stephanie Boettcher, Pamela Zang (Corey), Megan Enns, Timothy Boettcher (Rachel), Christopher, Adrian Boettcher (Jessica), Jessica, Kimberly and Kaitlyn Franz; his great grandchildren, Noah, Levi Enns, Aria Boettcher, Leara Zang, Ava and Benjamin Boettcher; his nieces, Angèle, Ingrid and Dorothé; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Charlotte and Romy.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM and at 3:00 PM.

Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
