It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Albert George Deakin (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his son Arven; his wife Eileen; his siblings, Don (Elaine), Evelyn (Nick), Dorothy (Roy), Kathy (John) and Patricia (Michael); and his brother-in-law Roy Buckley.
He is survived by : his children, Arlene Veres (Robb), Val Oddie (Lance), Virgil Vermette and Don Deakin (Carmen); his grandchildren, Kendra, Brock, Tara, Tina, Jeffrey, Debra, Travis, Cole and Kyra; and his sister Peggy Buckley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 Al a private burial service will be held for family.
If friends or family so desire, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
