He was predeceased by: his wife Emilia; and his siblings, Pasqualina De Fazio (Antonio) and Antonio Vona. He is survived by: his children, Diana (Dave) and Marcello (Terry); his grandchildren, Domenico (Laurenne), Michael, Robert, Bradley, Santina, Mitchell, Jeffrey and Alyssa; his great grandchildren, Benjamin Stringile and Jase Jackson; and his sisters, Pina and Matilda of Italy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The City of Calgary Vaccine Passport Bylaw 65M2021, requires all individuals attending funeral services to provide COVID-19 proof of vaccination, or proof of a privately paid negative test result taken within 72 hours of service, or documentation of medical exemption.
