With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Amelia Caterina Giancarlo of Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on August 9, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John; her siblings, Onesta, Concetta and Riziero; her parents, Luigi Alterio and Maria Dominica Alterio; and her son-in-law Bruce Mackinnon.

She is survived by: her children, Elsie Mackinnon of Langley and Lou (Kristen Kallstrom) of Calgary, Alberta; her grandchildren, Angela Durakovic (Aaron), Heather Mackinnon of Langley, B. C., Devon, Carmen Giancarlo and Caterina; and also, Christine Giancarlo of Calgary and Chase Durakovic of Langley, B. C..
