He was predeceased by: his father Alfred Gates. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his daughters, Christina (Jason) and Donna (John); his grandchildren, Erica, James, Zachary, Destiny and Desiree; his mother June; and his siblings, David (Jean), Clive, Nigel and Julie (Ed). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
